The evening, presented by The Toronto Jewish Choir, will include gorgeous music from Leonard Cohen’s Bird on a Wire, The Beatles Blackbird as well as some brand new original music. You will also see appearances by the following special guests:
• Aviva Chernick, a Juno award winner and who has a voice that is out of this world
• Trillium Award winning poet, Adam Sol, will provide haunting narration to an exciting new choral piece “As Fierce as the Sea”
• And of course the ever-charming barbershop quartet, Arbah B’shir bringing a little Fiddler on the Roof
The concert will take place in the brand new Sandra Faire and Ivan Fecan Theatre at York University. This venue is easy to get to: for parking, enter the York University campus from Keele and Pond Rd., then turn right at James Gillies St to park in the Student Services Parking Garage. The Accolade East Building is kitty corner, just northwest of the garage. The theatre is also right beside the new York University TTC subway stop.
