For Eli’s Place supporters, there are three ways to get involved:
- Run or walk In person along the Waterfront on October 16th (8 am 5K start; 8:45 am Marathon/Half-Marathon). First, you must register with TCS, and when you do, please be sure to join our team!
- Walk with a team of Eli’s Place members at a smaller venue. We will meet at Oriole Park on October 16 at 9:30 a.m. This family-friendly event is a perfect opportunity to meet old friends and new from the Eli’s Place Community. We promise prizes, snacks and bonhomie.
Choose your own 5K adventure or walk as a group. register for the virtual TCS experience and use their platform to fundraise for Eli’s Place in advance of our in-person walk-in Oriole Park. Cheerleaders who don’t feel up to a 5K walk are also appreciated! - Virtual Run or walk anytime between October 1-31st. This is perfect for those outside the GTA. Eli’s Place has had participants from Ontario to California in years past and we hope to increase our numbers this year. Again, you can register for the virtual TCS experience and use their platform to fundraise for Eli’s Place. Simply sign up as part of our team and plan your own day to walk or run.
If you are more of an armchair supporter that’s fine with us — but we hope you will donate to the Eli’s Place team page!
Any donation, big or small, makes a difference in helping us reach our $50,000 fundraising goal. Donate today to have an impact on the lives of young adults with serious mental illness.
Eli’s Place will help close the tremendous gap in our care of young Canadians, aged 18-35 with serious mental illness, offering a long-term residential treatment and recovery program based on the 106-year-old, proven-effective Gould Farm model. The first of its kind in Canada, Eli’s Place will provide treatment in a rural environment where participants will develop the skills to recover from their illness and to move from survival to living, and from mental illness to hopeful futures.
On October 16th I will be taking part in the festivities at Oriole Park and plan to bring some of my family. I look forward to meeting you!
Eli’s Place will be a rural, residential treatment program for young adults with serious mental illness. To learn more about our mission and our proven-effective model click here.
